Man Tou Recipe

This is a really simple Recipe that I have learn't and it creates amaziing and tasty Man tous that not only taste good but look good.This recipe consists of basic things you might have in your kitchen cupboard.After many years of buying mantou i've finally had the motivation to make it as well!

Ingredient A:

Plain Flour 600g

Instant Yeast 15g

Baking Powder 15g

Sugar 80g

Coconut oil 50g

Water 250ml

Ingredient B:

Green food colouring Few drops

Pandan essence Few drops

Method:

Mix together Ingredient A in a bowl and knead till the dough is really smooth, then divide the dough into two.

Add Ingredient B into one half of the dough and knead until well combined.

With a rolling pin roll the white and then green dough to around the same thickness and place ontop of each other.

Roll up the Mantou into a neat roll and cut into smaller portions.

Get a steamer and steam for 15 mins or pan and fill with water, when water boils steam the Man Tou over high heat for 15-20mins.
